In north-central Oakville along the east side of Sixteen Mile Creek, River Oaks is a family neighbourhood where most homes were built from the early 1990s into the 2000s, joined more recently by condominiums. Some homes from this era were built with Kitec, many original water heaters and fixtures are reaching the end of their life, and finished basements need a working sump pump and backwater valve. Poly-B is usually a flexible light grey plastic pipe. Kitec is usually orange (hot) and blue (cold) pipe with brass fittings. They are often visible near the water heater or in an unfinished part of the basement. If you are not sure, we can inspect your plumbing and tell you what you have.
